I enjoy reading this book. Many of the concepts resented by the author were familiar to me because I have attended may conferences and discussions pertaining to poverty in Alabama and across cultures. Reading the material presented helped me rethink the way I discipline students who are not proficient in English. Now I always to explain why a student should act a certain way in school and a different way at home or with friends. After taking the quiz to determine in which group I would feel more comfortable I find that I would survive somewhat in poverty, most comfrtable in middle lass, and least comfortable in the rich group.
